| Microsoft® Outlook™ and Outlook Express™ Configuration
Aspiresite recommends that you
use either Microsoft Outlook or Microsoft Outlook Express as your email
client. If you use another email program such as Netscape, Eudora or Pegasus,
the information you need to input remains the same. Please refer to your
particular program's help files for assistance in setting up your email
account.
1- Click Tools at the
menu bar, then select Accounts from the drop down menu and you will see
a window similar to the graphic above. Make sure the 'Mail' tab is selected
and click the Add button.
2- You will now see an input field for your
name. Type your name as you would like it to appear in the 'From' field in any
email you send. It can be your full name, first name or nickname. What you
type here is entirely up to you. When you are done, click the Next button.
3- Now you need to type your email address in
the format you@yourdomain.com, .net or
.org. When finished click the Next button.
4- The next window you see will be similar to
the one above. Your incoming mail server will always be mail.aspiresite.com . Your outgoing mail server will need to be set to that of your ISP or your
company's internal mail server. Contact your ISP or I.T. technician for help
with this setting. When finished click the Next button.
5- You will now be prompted for your logon
information. In the Account Name field, you will need to type your
email address, just like you did in step #3 above. Also type your password,
and the choice is your whether or not you want to check the Remember
Password box. When finished click the Next button.
6- You will now be asked your connection
method. In most cases you will choose the first or the second radio button. If
you access the internet using a modem select the first option. If you
use a LAN or cable modem, chose the second option. When finished click
the Next button, then click Finish at the next window.
Congratulations, you are done!
